And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bertil Bengtsson!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Ren Mimura and Yuuki Gou.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laranja shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bengtsson as he jumps to the side.
Bengtsson swats away the attempt to clinch by Laranja.
Bengtsson swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
A big right from Bengtsson misses.
Laranja looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

and Bengtsson counters with a stiff right hand.
Laranja tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bengtsson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Laranja somewhat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Laranja shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bengtsson as he avoids it easily.
Bengtsson looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Renato Laranja. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Laranja displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bengtsson throws out the jab.
Bengtsson slaps away a takedown attempt from Laranja, before circling back to the center of the mat.
A little jabbing left from Bengtsson on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bengtsson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bengtsson wants it to stay on the feet.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Bengtsson! But no joy.
Laranja tries to clinch there but Bengtsson circles away.
Laranja misses with a jab, cross combination.
A nice side step and Bengtsson releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Renato Laranja seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Laranja is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Bengtsson lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Laranja throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bengtsson's waist but Bengtsson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Laranja off to one side.

and Bengtsson scores with a counter punch that sends Laranja to the canvas! Bengtsson smells blood - he's punishing Laranja with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Laranja has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
