Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Will Yu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexandre Umanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Umanov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Yu half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Umanov moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Umanov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Umanov's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Umanov duly obliges.
Umanov shoots in but no luck this time.
Umanov showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Yu.
Yu checks the leg kick.
A counter left hand to the body from Yu misses its target.
Umanov throws a series of punches but Yu avoids them all with ease.
Umanov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Yu defends it nicely.
Will Yu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexandre Umanov.
Umanov tries to clinch but Yu moves out of range.
Yu throws a right and a left that both miss.
Umanov wants to counter the offense by Yu and move into the clinch position.

Umanov closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Umanov tries to close the distance and clinch but Yu swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Umanov shoots in looking for a takedown. Yu tries to sprawl out of it but Umanov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Yu manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Yu shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Umanov's guard.
Yu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Umanov on the ground.

Umanov pulls Yu in to control the position.

Yu looking to sit in guard and control but Umanov gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Yu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Yu keeping moving, preventing Umanov from controlling successfully.
Yu looking to hit a scissor sweep but Umanov is one step ahead there.
Yu is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Umanov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Yu is on top in guard.

Yu slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Yu is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Umanov is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Umanov tries to roll over but Yu keeps him under control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Yu is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Umanov reverses the position - he's now on top in Yu's guard.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Umanov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Umanov moves into the clinch.
Umanov changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Yu fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Umanov tries to close the distance and clinch up but Yu swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Yu gets a double leg takedown into Umanov's guard.
Yu wants to control from the top but Umanov keeps moving.
Yu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Umanov swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Will Yu overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Umanov pulls Yu in close to prevent any damage.
Umanov is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Umanov works his foot free and advances to mount.
Yu is trying desperately to improve position.
Yu gets back to half guard.
Yu is looking for a sweep. Umanov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Umanov is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Yu sees it coming and defends easily.

Yu is pressing down on Umanov's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Yu is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Umanov content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Yu wants to control the position but Umanov says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yu is looking to control Umanov's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Yu avoid being mounted?

Umanov stops Yu from getting back to his feet.
Yu wants to improve his position but Umanov is controlling well.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Umanov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Umanov has his feet on Yu's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Yu stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Yu wants it to stay on the feet.
Umanov is breathing heavily.
Yu lands with an uppercut that bounces Umanov off the cage and back into range.
Umanov throws a leg kick
and Yu decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Umanov's guard.
Umanov has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Yu off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Umanov moves out of range as Yu throws a body kick.
Yu lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Alexandre Umanov will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Umanov moves out of range of the body kick.
Yu throws the kick towards the body but Umanov avoids it.
Umanov misses with a leg kick
and Yu counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Umanov thinking.
Umanov takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Umanov wants to clinch up but Yu keeps it at a distance.
Yu lands with a nice body punch.
Yu throws a head kick that misses.
And Umanov tries to counter it with a takedown but Yu pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Umanov shoots in for a takedown but Yu shows good takedown defense.

Yu finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Yu takes a swing at Umanov's ribcage but misses.
Umanov goes for a double leg but Yu avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Yu continues to drive forward.

Yu lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Yu tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Yu is looking to wear down Umanov with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
A clash of legs there as Yu blocks the low kick.
Yu throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Umanov darts in looking for a takedown but Yu gets double underhooks and turns Umanov into the cage.

Umanov takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Umanov gets caught flat footed, as Yu shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Umanov has his feet on Yu's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Yu forces Umanov back against the cage and clinches.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Yu tries to work over Umanov's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Umanov wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Yu manages to break the clinch.
Umanov shoots in but Yu avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Yu misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Umanov.
Umanov has his takedown stuffed
and Yu counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Yu fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Umanov to the ground. Yu is now in Umanov's guard.
Yu in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Yu connects with a couple of short punches.
Yu looking to sit in guard and control but Umanov gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Umanov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Umanov with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Yu is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Yu is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Yu is trying to hold Umanov in close to prevent damage but Umanov has managed to pass into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Yu is trying to maintain the position but Umanov is very close to passing his half guard.
Umanov controlling the pace.
Yu wants to improve his position but Umanov is controlling well.
Umanov seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Will Yu has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
