Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ronald Rousey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ian Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rousey comes to the cage accompanied by Creepy Jackalope Eye by Supersuckers. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 17 - 1, fighting out of London, Ronald Rousey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ian Rogers!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A lazy left from Rousey finds it's target.
Nice uppercut lands for Rogers. That snapped Rousey's head back.

Rousey closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Rogers quickly recovers to half guard.

Rousey is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rogers is just riding it out for now. Rousey eventually gives up the hold.
Rousey moves into full mount! Rogers won't be happy about that!
The referee warns Rogers that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rousey tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Rousey lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Rousey goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Rogers is on top in guard.

Rousey lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Rogers wants to get back to his feet but Rousey is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Rousey postures up in Rogers's guard and throws a big left but Rogers blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rogers is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Rousey sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rogers's guard.
Rogers is refusing to be controlled, as Rousey sits in half guard.
Rousey wants to free his trapped foot but Rogers is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Rogers tries to kick Rousey off but Rousey keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Rousey looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Rousey tries to pass to full mount but Rogers defends it.
Rogers wants to get back to his feet.
Rousey is nestled in close to Rogers, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Rousey is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Rousey not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Rousey thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rogers's head.
Rousey has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Rousey tries to pass to full mount but Rogers defends it.
Rogers is trying to stand.
Rousey wants to control but Rogers is keeping him busy.
Rousey missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Rousey is thwarting Rogers's attempts to control the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

and Rogers connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Rogers tries to clinch but Rousey is having none of it.

Rousey cracks Rogers with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Rousey feints and then cracks Rogers's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rogers down.
Rogers takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Rogers misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Rousey shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Rousey is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Rousey drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rogers dives on top into guard.


Rogers looking to improve position, pressing down on Rousey's thigh with his hand. Rousey seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Rogers paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Rogers's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Rousey picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
