Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kenji Koko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Alexandre Umanov!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Santiago Holmes and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koko rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Umanov moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Umanov is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

and Umanov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Umanov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Horrible takedown attempt by Umanov or perhaps it was just good defense by Koko, which made it look bad.

That was a close round but I would say that Kenji Koko will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Umanov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Koko tries to avoid it but Umanov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Koko to the ground. Koko escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Koko gets in close and tags Umanov with a short punch that almost sends Umanov to the mat! Oh Umanov is in big trouble! He turns his back on Koko, trying to create some distance but Koko rushes him, striking wildly and Umanov goes down! The referee tackles Koko into the cage to end the fight! Koko is one violent man!
