And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Enrique Molito!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Phil Schofield and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martell will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Martell's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Molito connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Martell scrambles back to his feet.


It looks like Quentyn Martell has been cut.
Quentyn Martell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Martell throws a right hand that misses
enabling Molito to counter with a crisp jab.
Martell finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Molito scores with a punch to the head.
Martell throws a head kick that misses
and Molito counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Molito misses with an uppercut
and Martell makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A lazy body kick from Martell
and Molito cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Martell jabs Molito right on the nose. Molito blinks but takes it well.
Molito checks a low kick from Martell.
Molito looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Martell tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Molito is able to avoid easily.
Martell throws a leg kick that is checked
and Molito counters with a nice uppercut.
Molito takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Martell connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.


It looks like Enrique Molito has been cut.
Martell scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
A swing and a miss from Molito.
Martell lands a jab to the nose.
Martell on the wrong end of a nice hook.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Molito lands a left and a right that send Martell crashing to the mat, dazed. Molito thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Martell is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Martell throws an off balance right hand
and Molito counters with a big left hand that crumples Martell! He was out before he hit the floor! Brutal knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Enrique Molito! Enrique Molito retains his featherweight title!
Enrique Molito tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
