Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charles RIck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Wilson Tony!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
RIck slips a straight right by Tony.
RIck feinted with a counter takedown.
Wilson Tony seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
RIck fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Tony throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
RIck tries for a takedown but Tony circles away easily
and Tony cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Tony jabs at RIck's body.
Tony misses with an uppercut

so RIck counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
RIck sitting in guard here, content to control.

Tony is looking for a triangle but RIck pushes his legs off easily.

RIck drops back looking for a leg! Tony is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tony manages to kick RIck off! RIck jumps back into Tony's guard.

RIck pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tony is keeping the position for now.
RIck slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
RIck is looking to take a break and control but Tony is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

RIck wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tony, who protects the arm well.
Tony tries to bench press RIck off him but RIck keeps the position.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
RIck is trying to get an arm triangle but Tony is defending well.
RIck gets to mount! Tony was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Tony tries to hold on but RIck postures up.

RIck is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by RIck!
