Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Samuels scores with a three punch combo!

It looks like Jonathan Brady has been cut.
Brady looks to land a body kick but Samuels moved away.
Brady throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Brady clinches up with Samuels and pushes him back against the cage.

Samuels's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Brady jumps guard but Samuels stands there with Brady around his waist. Brady gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Brady wants to take the fight to the mat but Samuels manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Brady breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Samuels changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brady looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Brady bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Samuels throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Brady tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Samuels is in Brady's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Brady is looking for a triangle but Samuels pushes his legs off easily.
Samuels seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Samuels throws an elbow that misses. Brady uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Samuels's guard. Nice move by Brady!

Samuels is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Brady could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Samuels in particular looking to stall.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Brady is working an open guard so Samuels takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Samuels bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Brady is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Samuels is controlling him well.

That was a close round but I would say that Jonathan Brady will probably get the nod.

Samuels closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Samuels gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Brady regains guard.

Brady postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Samuels looks a forlorn figure.

Samuels is desperately trying to improve his position but Brady has a good base and remains in mount.
Jonathan Brady overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Brady moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Samuels has worked his arm free - good work by Samuels!

Brady tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brady has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
