PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kedar Dere (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mepral Concor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kedar Dere looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kedar Dere!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mepral Concor!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Concor looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Dere is looking to stand up but Concor isn't so interested in that idea.
Concor would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Dere avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Dere throws some shots to the body, keeping his opponent honest.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Concor is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Concor thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Dere knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Concor on the ground.

Concor is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Dere has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Concor has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Dere's face.

Concor postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Dere looks a forlorn figure.

Concor wants to finish this one by submission but Dere is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Concor.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Dere might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Dere is squirming around, avoiding Concor's attempts to control the action.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Concor is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Dere can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Concor is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.
Dere has hold of Concor's hands but Concor slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Concor is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dere defends it well.

Concor looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Concor has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Concor lands a nice short elbow.
Concor seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Concor is taking a breather. Dere says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Concor is looking to take a break and control but Dere is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Concor is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Concor scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Concor moves nicely into side control.

Concor has hold of Dere's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Dere tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Concor cranks the arm and Dere screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Dere, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Mepral Concor!
