Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Talib Singh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mac Avelli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Talib Singh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mac Avelli!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Avelli scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Singh tries to clinch up.
Avelli scores with a three punch combo!
Avelli rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Singh moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Avelli bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Singh wants to get back to his feet but Avelli drags him back down.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Avelli prevents Singh from getting the reversal.
Avelli controlling from the full mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Singh tries to lock up and control but Avelli gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mac Avelli dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Avelli looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

so Avelli counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Avelli gets to his feet. Singh looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Avelli lunges at Singh with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Singh's hand.
Avelli works over Singh's head and body with a nice combination.
Singh tries to clinch up

and Avelli counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Singh's guard now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Singh wants to stand up but Avelli is controlling him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Singh wants to sweep here but Avelli controlling him for the moment.
Avelli is stalling in the full guard.
Avelli's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Despite being in the dominant position, Mac Avelli just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Avelli lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Singh tries for a takedown but Avelli circles away easily
and Avelli counters with an outside leg kick.
Avelli throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Singh on the side of the head.

A right-left combo lands from Avelli.

Avelli shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Singh's guard.
Avelli slips nicely into half guard.
Avelli takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Singh tries to roll over but Avelli keeps him under control.
Avelli stalling.
Mac Avelli has got the better of the ground game so far.
Let's hope that Avelli has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Avelli is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Avelli controlling the position easily from mount.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mac Avelli showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

and Avelli counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Avelli.

Avelli turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Avelli manages to end up in side control.
A lull in the action here as Avelli stalls from top position.

Avelli stands up and beckons Singh to his feet.
Avelli's corner calls for a 1-2. Avelli obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Avelli instigates a clinch.

Avelli pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Talib Singh has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Avelli closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Avelli lands in his opponent's guard.
Singh throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Mac Avelli is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Avelli stands and steps away. Singh gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mac Avelli comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Avelli has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
