Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eliseo Schultz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ross Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Eliseo Schultz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ross Foster!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Vladimir Khabensky and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Foster changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Schultz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Foster laying and praying for a moment but Schultz takes advantage and regains half guard.
Foster wants to control but Schultz is keeping him busy.
Foster not doing much here.
Foster is looking to advance position but Schultz won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Foster connects with a nice short shot to Schultz's temple.
Schultz trying to hold on to Foster's head to control him but Foster postures up.
Foster really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Schultz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Foster wants to stand up but Schultz has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Schultz trying to hold on to Foster's head to control him but Foster postures up.
Foster is looking to stall here but Schultz recovers full guard.
Foster is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Schultz throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Foster tries to free his leg and advance position but Schultz is retaining full guard.
Schultz trying to keep a closed guard but Foster is proving a slippery customer.
Foster stays in close to Schultz's body and controls the position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Foster wants to pass the guard but Schultz is keeping the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Foster throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Schultz counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Schultz catches Foster with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Foster is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Schultz's half guard.
Foster looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Schultz is defending against the submission attempts here by Foster.
Foster is trying to control. Schultz wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Foster working over Schultz with some ground and pound. Schultz looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Schultz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Foster wants to work for an arm triangle but Schultz is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Foster decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Foster closes the distance and lands a one-two.


It looks like Eliseo Schultz has been cut.
Schultz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Foster lands a body shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Schultz gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Foster to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Schultz kicks Foster off and gets to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ross Foster dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Eliseo Schultz's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Foster pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Schultz looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.

Foster fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Schultz sprawls well initially but Foster persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Schultz has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Foster is on him like a limpet, forcing Schultz back against the cage.
Schultz tries to circle away but Foster has him pinned against the cage.

Foster breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Foster throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Foster feints with a jab and clips Schultz right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Schultz is sent crashing into the canvas and Foster leaps in for the kill! Schultz tries to get to his feet but Foster is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Schultz is in need of a savior and steps in!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ross Foster!
