The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gardars closes the distance and clinches up with Lord, looking for a takedown. Gardars pushes Lord against the cage but Lord circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Lord looks to land a combination but Gardars avoids it well.
Lord lands a jab to the head.
Gardars tries a low kick but Lord avoids it.
Gardars fails with a takedown attempt.

Gardars moves into the clinch successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gardars tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Gardars has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lord after a bit of a struggle.

Gardars throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gardars.

and Lord counters with a three punch combo that has Gardars backing up. Gardars nods at Lord to acknowledge the strikes.
Gardars is breathing heavily.

Gardars goes for a double leg but Lord avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Lord continues to drive forward.
Lord avoids the head kick by Gardars.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gardars throws a sloppy head kick and Lord moves out of range easily.
Lord unleashes a big counter combination but Gardars bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Gardars tries to clinch
and Lord counters with a series of strikes. Gardars will be more careful next time no doubt.
Bosi Gardars seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lord throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Lord works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Gardars slips a jab and a cross from Lord.
Gardars misses with a takedown attempt - Lord sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Lord throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gardars is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Lord.
Lord swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gardars pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gardars looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
