The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Martins shoots in and gets a takedown into Trevino's guard.
Trevino is wriggling around but Martins manages to pass to half guard.

Martins throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Trevino blocking the ground and pound attempt from Martins.
Martins drops an elbow to the side of Trevino's head.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Martins is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Martins wants to take a breather but Trevino is having none of it.

Martins seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Trevino does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Martins maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Trevino could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Martins has cracked it and Trevino is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Martins!

Joelson Martins decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
