The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A bone on bone clash there as Martinez blocks the leg kick.
Thawne swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Martinez is looking to counter with head kicks.

Thawne has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Eobard Thawne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Thawne pivots, looking for a leg kick but Martinez is out of range and Thawne settles back down.
Thawne drops his guard momentarily, allowing Martinez to crack him with a picture perfect lead left hook! Boom! Down goes Thawne! Oh, he's in big trouble - I don't like his chances here as the referee's count reaches 5. 6,7,8,9...10! He's out! Martinez takes it!

After the fight, Wilfredo Martinez was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
The defeated Eobard Thawne had this to say: 'Barry Allen is an asshole! I will kill him one of these days. As for the results of this fight. Fuck that guy. He is a chump. Mark my words: I will kill The Flash!'.
