Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Black looking for a takedown here - he's got it.

Black thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Black slips nicely into half guard.
Tassen is trying to stand.

Black is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Black is looking for a kimura but Tassen is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Black to get the leverage.
Tassen is not content to let Black control the position.

Black seems to be working for a kimura but Tassen defends the submission attempt.

Tassen has one foot on Black's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Black shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tassen as he jumps to the side.
Black shoots in for a double leg but Tassen sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Black looks gassed!
Black walks into a straight right hand from Tassen.

Tassen clinches up against the cage.

Tassen breaks from the clinch.
Tassen fails to land with a series of punches.
Black shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Tassen but Tassen pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Lee Tassen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wilson Black.

Black bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Tassen is trying to buck Black off.
Black trying to control the position but Tassen is working away.

Black tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Tassen on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tassen tries to get out of the position.

Tassen bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

Black slips a straight right by Tassen.
Lee Tassen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Horrible takedown by Black or perhaps it was just good defense by Tassen which made him look bad.
Tassen misses with a low kick as Black jumps back.
Black misses with a takedown attempt - Tassen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Tassen throws a body punch but Black moves out of range.
Tassen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tassen tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Black was well out of range. Poor timing from Tassen.
Black blocks a head kick by Tassen.
Black shoots in but no luck this time.

Black shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Tassen's guard.
Black trying to control the position from guard on top but Tassen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Tassen wants to stand up but Black is controlling him.

Tassen scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Tassen throws a combination. Black tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Black tries to clinch
and Tassen counters with a three punch combo that has Black backing up. Black nods at Tassen to acknowledge the strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lee Tassen dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Tassen fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Black square on the jaw! Damn, Black is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
