PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shizzle Mynizzle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ashley Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mynizzle shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smith but Smith pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Smith lands a jab-cross combination.
Smith scores with a hook.
Mynizzle could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Mynizzle fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Smith, pushing him back against the cage.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Mynizzle.
Smith wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Smith wants to get back to striking at distance but Mynizzle won't allow it.
Smith prevents a takedown attempt there.
Smith blocking some punches.
Mynizzle keeps control of Smith as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Mynizzle works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smith wants to get back to his feet but Mynizzle is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mynizzle controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Smith is working an open guard so Mynizzle takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Smith throws a one two combo.
Smith tries to bum rush Mynizzle with a series of wild strikes but Mynizzle uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Smith connects with a crisp jab.
Good standup being displayed there by Smith as he connects with a hook.

Smith attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Mynizzle has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Smith finds it's way round the side to connect with Mynizzle's head.

Ashley Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Smith misses with the combination.
Smith tries a head kick but it misses.
Mynizzle moves forwards but Smith connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Mynizzle takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Ashley Smith is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Smith uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Mynizzle has time to react.
Mynizzle closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Smith connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Smith lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Mynizzle at a distance.
Mynizzle is breathing heavily.
Mynizzle takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mynizzle shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Smith throws a head kick that misses.
Smith connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Smith is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round!Mynizzle had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Smith!

Smith scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Mynizzle doesn't seem bothered though.
Mynizzle takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Smith scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Nice uppercut there from Smith.
Smith lands a glancing blow to the side of Mynizzle's head.

Mynizzle is rocked!
Smith feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Mynizzle crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
