PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jiu Jitsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Batistuta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Batistuta has chosen Deftones - You've Seen The Butcher as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Jiu Jitsu!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Carlos Batistuta!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yuuki Gou and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batistuta is looking to land body kicks.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Batistuta has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Jitsu shoots in but no luck this time.

Jitsu has Batistuta pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Jitsu pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Batistuta tumbling to the mat - Jitsu dives into Batistuta's guard.

Batistuta isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Jitsu stacks Batistuta on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Jitsu!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

and Jitsu counters with a shoot takedown. Batistuta fights it but they end up in guard.

Jitsu drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Jitsu as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Batistuta screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Jitsu! Nice submission victory there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 4, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Jiu Jitsu!
