Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sambo Rambo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and German Shephard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shephard comes into a darkened arena with his song building. K9 Justice kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Shephard finds it's target.
Rambo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Shephard circles away.
Rambo tries to close the distance and clinch but Shephard swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Rambo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Shephard is trying to defend but Rambo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Shephard is looking to control Rambo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Shephard avoid being mounted?

Shephard stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Rambo is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shephard can do to turn this around?

We've been told by Rambo's head coaches at Island Warriors -13 ELITE Coaches that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Shephard feints and then cracks Rambo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rambo down.
Rambo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Shephard but Shephard pushes him off and we're back to square one.

A very excited looking Sambo Rambo rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
