The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good shot there by Nilsen.
Light defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Nilsen.
Light wants to counter the offense by Nilsen and move into the clinch position.
Nilsen takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Nilsen misses with a takedown attempt - Light sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Light counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Nilsen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Light tries to avoid it but Nilsen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Light to the ground. Light escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Light pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Nilsen back to the cage. Light follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Dennis Nilsen has been cut.
Light thuds his right hand into Nilsen's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Nilsen dives in and grabs Light's left leg, looking for a takedown. Light pushes down on Nilsen's head and hops out.
Light fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Nilsen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Light steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Nilsen.

Light sneaks out the side door and pushes Nilsen away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Light is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Nilsen.

No joy there for Light, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
