Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Julius Birch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Milton Cooper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Julius Birch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Milton Cooper!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Birch misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Cooper.
Jab, jab by Birch - just one landing.
Birch misses with an uppercut.
Cooper stuffs the takedown attempt from Birch. Birch gets slowly back to his feet.
Birch ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cooper moves away.
Birch thows a left - swing and a miss!
Cooper tries to close the distance and clinch up but Birch swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Cooper takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

We've been hearing reports that Birch has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Cooper can do anything to dispel that myth.

I think Cooper has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
