Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Archibald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matty Markos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matty Markos!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Archibald dives in and grabs Markos's left leg, looking for a takedown. Markos pushes down on Archibald's head and hops out.
Markos throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Archibald was covering up waiting for the punch and Markos finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Archibald scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Archibald looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Markos!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
You can see the frustration on Markos's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Archibald cracks Markos with an elbow. That is naaassty.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Archibald tries for a kimura but Markos is defending well.
Markos takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Archibald throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Archibald looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Markos can't do much from the bottom here.
Archibald tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Archibald has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Archibald trying to control the action but Markos is working from the bottom.
Markos struggling a bit here.
Archibald is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Markos has escaped the position, nice work there.
Markos manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Archibald trying to control from half guard but Markos is working away.
Markos is trying to maintain the position but Archibald is very close to passing his half guard.

Markos is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Archibald's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Archibald's back!
Archibald wants to get back to his feet.
Markos is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Archibald knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Archibald for a finish.
A lull in the action here.
Archibald is trying to break free.

Markos has his arm under Archibald's chin here. Game over son! Markos squeezes tightly and Archibald is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Matty Markos!
A relieved looking Matty Markos thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
