Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Stafford Alois!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, David Hasslehoff!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Donald Grub and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hasslehoff bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Hasslehoff trying to control the position but Alois is working away.

Hasslehoff working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Hasslehoff throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Alois is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Hasslehoff working the ground and pound but Alois is defending the strikes.
Hasslehoff taking a break here but Alois is having none of it and regains half guard.
Alois could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hasslehoff prevents Alois from improving his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Alois keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Alois ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hasslehoff moves away.
Alois misses with a looping right.
Hasslehoff avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hasslehoff throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Horrible takedown by Hasslehoff or perhaps it was just good defense by Alois which made him look bad.
Hasslehoff ducks under a wild hook from Alois.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Alois throws a right and a left that Hasslehoff avoids nicely.
Hasslehoff takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Hasslehoff looks gassed!
Alois misses with a double jab.
Alois connects with a crisp jab.
Jab, jab by Alois - just one landing.
Hasslehoff fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Alois darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Alois changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Alois throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Alois misses the shot to the body.
Alois throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Alois throws a head kick that misses.

Alois misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hasslehoff avoids the head kick by Alois.

Hasslehoff shoots in and bounces Alois off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Alois looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Hasslehoff working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Alois wants to stand but Hasslehoff is controlling the position.
Hasslehoff throwing strikes from guard but Alois blocks nicely.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Hasslehoff's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Alois looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hasslehoff is one step ahead there.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hasslehoff pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Alois is keeping the position for now.
Hasslehoff wants to control from the top but Alois keeps moving.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Alois lands a with a good body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stafford Alois dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Alois tries to close the distance and clinch but Hasslehoff swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Alois misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A combination from Alois does no damage.
Hasslehoff shoots in and drives through. Alois sprawls well.
Hasslehoff takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Alois attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Alois looks to score with a jab to the body but Hasslehoff is just out of range.
Alois throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hasslehoff sees it coming and avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Alois throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hasslehoff is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Alois has escaped the position, nice work there.

Hasslehoff postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Alois looks a forlorn figure.

Hasslehoff can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Alois is looking to escape.

Alois is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Hasslehoff wants to control the pace but Alois is squirming around nicely.
Hasslehoff is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Alois is desperately trying to improve his position but Hasslehoff has a good base and remains in mount.

Hasslehoff is trying to work for a sweep but Alois has mounted him!
Hasslehoff has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Alois wants to control the pace but Hasslehoff is squirming around nicely.
Hasslehoff is wriggling around trying to escape.

David Hasslehoff showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Alois pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Alois motions for Hasslehoff to come forward. Alois throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Alois throws a jab but it's blocked by Hasslehoff.
Alois throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Alois misses with an uppercut. Hasslehoff saw that one coming.

Hasslehoff shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Alois avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alois being controlled here, momentarily.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Hasslehoff wants to pass the guard but Alois is keeping the position.

Alois is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Alois wants to control but Hasslehoff is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Hasslehoff is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Alois has managed to free his arm - good work.
Alois is looking to escape.
Hasslehoff has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Alois avoids a series of strikes thrown by Hasslehoff.
Alois wants to get back to his feet.

Hasslehoff postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Alois looks a forlorn figure.

Hasslehoff goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Alois turns into him and now he's in Hasslehoff's guard.

I think Hasslehoff has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
