The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ovi pushes Von Moger up against the cage in a clinch.
Ovi can't find room to land a body shot as Von Moger controls the action.
Ovi jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Von Moger walks away with a smile on his face. Ovi gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Ovi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Von Moger avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hard Ovi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ovi misses with a takedown attempt - Von Moger sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ovi closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Von Moger did well to prevent Ovi getting side control.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Von Moger can do anything to dispel that myth.
Von Moger has hold of Ovi's hands but Ovi slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Von Moger wants to get back to full guard but Ovi has mounted him!

Ovi lands a couple of good shots and Von Moger has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Von Moger is trying to get back to his feet but Ovi has full control of the position and if anything, Von Moger has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Ovi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Ovi is cranking Von Moger's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Von Moger! He's tightened the choke and Von Moger is tapping out!
