Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gunny Hiway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Grim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Francis DeMontford and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grim fails to land the takedown.
Hiway slaps away a takedown attempt from Grim, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Hiway throws a big shot that misses.
Grim fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hiway sprawls well initially but Grim persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Grim stops Hiway from getting back to his feet.
Still in half guard, Grim seems content to control.
Grim prevents Hiway from standing back up.
Grim lands with a punch from half guard.
Grim looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hiway with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hiway tries to get to full guard but Grim has control of the leg.
Hiway is concentrating on defense, preventing Grim from advancing position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Grim takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Hiway wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Grim is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Hiway wants to get back to his feet.
Grim with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Grim drops an elbow to the side of Hiway's head.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Grim in particular looking to stall.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Grim fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Gunny Hiway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Grim.
Grim fails to land the takedown.
Hiway swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Grim looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Grim scores with a takedown into Hiway's guard.
Grim trying to control the position from guard on top but Hiway is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hiway is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Grim trying to control but Hiway is working from the bottom.
Grim lands a couple of elbows.
Grim showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Hiway seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Grim scoring with punches to the head and body.
Hiway is looking to stand up but Grim isn't so interested in that idea.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Grim dives in and grabs Hiway's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hiway pushes down on Grim's head and hops out.
Grim tries to clinch
letting Hiway counter with a right hand.
Grim with a lazy takedown attempt
and Hiway counters with a huge left! Grim is in big trouble! He's backing up but Hiway isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Grim from any more damage. A dominating finish by Hiway!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gunny Hiway!
