Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hai Collier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Tye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hai Collier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Tye!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tye has closed the distance and engaged Collier in a clinch.
Tye gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Collier.
Tye digs a right hand underneath Collier's ribcage. Collier let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Good body shot from Tye.

Tye pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Collier rushes Tye and presses him up against the cage.
Collier is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Collier is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Tye is defending well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hai Collier. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Tye pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Tye rushes Collier and presses him up against the cage.

Tye breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Collier tries to clinch but Tye is having none of it.

Collier looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Tye has picked Collier up and slammed him! Collier can't keep hold of the triangle and Tye manages to pass to side control!

Collier wants to get back to his feet but Tye is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Collier is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tye is controlling him.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Tye closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Collier's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Collier really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Collier is looking for a takedown.

Tye has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Collier clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Collier manages to escape to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
James Tye seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tye closes the distance and clinches.

Tye turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Tye manages to end up in side control.

Collier wants to break free but Tye has control.

Collier has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Tye has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Collier regains guard immediately.
Collier is looking to stand back up but Tye counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Collier.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Tye throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Collier drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Tye gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Collier wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Tye manages to pass to side control.

Collier really wants to buck Tye off and get back to his feet.

Tye is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Collier can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Collier's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Tye sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Collier scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Tye manages to mount him!
Hai Collier has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
James Tye is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Collier is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.

And that's the end of the fight!
James Tye comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Tye has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
