Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Konstanty Farell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Fist Of Steel!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Farell shoots in and drives through. Steel sprawls well.

Steel tries to sprawl but Farell drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Farell throwing shots but Steel is blocking nicely.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Steel blocking the ground and pound attempt from Farell.
Farell throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Farell thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Steel's head.
Farell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Farell in particular looking to stall.

Farell perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Steel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Farell. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Farell thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Farell escapes and gets back to his feet.
Farell fails with the takedown.
Farell fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Konstanty Farell. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Farell shoots for a double leg takedown but Steel sprawls well. He's pushed Farell's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Farell wants to take the fight to the mat but Steel manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Farell looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Farell's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

A head punch on the inside from Steel fails to land.

Farell turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Farell manages to end up in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Farell tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Farell has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Steel managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Farell.
Steel avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Farell.

Farell is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Steel looks calm but he's in trouble here. Farell gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Steel is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Farell lets go of the hold and Steel can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Konstanty Farell!
