Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Bruno Lombardi and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fortyone throws a head kick that misses
and Verk counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Fortyone is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Verk throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fortyone.

Fortyone stuffs the takedown attempt from Verk. Verk gets slowly back to his feet.
Verk tries to bum rush Fortyone with a series of wild strikes but Fortyone uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Fortyone jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Verk walks away with a smile on his face. Fortyone gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Verk tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fortyone swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The fight stays on the outside here - Verk looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Verk on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Fortyone. Fortyone obviously looking to wear him down.
Fortyone throws a low kick but Verk moves out of range easily.

Verk changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Fortyone tries to avoid it but Verk manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Fortyone to the ground. Fortyone escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Fighter Fortyone is winning the standup battle so far.
Fortyone lands a big head kick that sends Verk tumbling to the mat! Fortyone takes a step backwards and waves Verk back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Verk is rocked!
Verk has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Fortyone.
Verk is still on wobbly legs! Can Fortyone finish him?

A head kick by Fortyone - that's a beauty! Verk is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Fortyone can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
