Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Diego Brandao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernando Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz has chosen Boombastic (Mr Lover Lover) by Shaggy as his entrance music. The key to victory for Diego Brandao has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diaz closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Brandao did well to prevent Diaz getting side control.

Diaz remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee asks Diaz politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Diaz prefers to stall for the moment though.
Brandao can't do much from the bottom here.
Diaz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brandao keeps working.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Diaz shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Brandao pinned against the cage. Brandao gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nice straight punches there by Brandao. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Brandao.
