Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Pereira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davie Joyce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Davie Joyce will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Davie Joyce!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Glass and Colin Fotheringham.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joyce throws a right and a left that Pereira avoids nicely.

Pereira darts in and clinches Joyce up against the cage.

Joyce breaks from the clinch.
Joyce scores with a one two! Pereira had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

and Pereira decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Joyce's guard.
Pereira definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Pereira might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Pereira is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pereira postures up in Joyce's guard and throws a big left but Joyce blocks it.
Pereira controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Joyce can't keep his opponent in guard - Pereira advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Pereira uses his free foot to push down on Joyce's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Joyce.
Pereira works his way to his opponent's back.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Pereira looking for the choke but no joy.
Pereira is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Joyce is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Pereira is working for a rear naked choke. Joyce is not defending it well and Pereira has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Joyce refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Joyce's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Marcus Pereira!
