Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stephen Dean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Ravioli!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ravioli shoots for a double leg takedown but Dean sprawls well. He's pushed Ravioli's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
A counter left hand to the body from Dean misses its target.
Ravioli shoots in but Dean avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Ravioli has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ravioli is trying to pull guard but Dean has him pressed against the cage.
Stephen Dean has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Ravioli.

Dean turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Dean manages to end up in side control.
Ravioli is trying to get back to half guard.

Dean tries for a kimura but Ravioli is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Check out the look on Dean's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

Ravioli avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Dean.
Ravioli is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Dean is working Ravioli over with some ground and pound from side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
You can see the frustration on Ravioli's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Dean is working to tighten his grip on Ravioli's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Ravioli has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Dean is really squeezing tight and eventually Ravioli passes out! Dean breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
