The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sorrenson is looking to clinch but Myers is avoiding it.
Myers throws a quick inside leg kick.
Sorrenson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Myers swats away the attempt to clinch by Sorrenson.

Myers pushes Sorrenson up against the cage in a clinch.
Myers stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Myers lands a shot to the body.

Sorrenson breaks from the clinch.
Mercy Myers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sorrenson lands with an overhand left.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A looping hook to the body misses from Myers. Sorrenson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sorrenson tries to clinch but Myers is having none of it.
Myers thinks about countering with a head kick.

Myers throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Myers breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Myers lands a nice shot that snaps Sorrenson's head back.
Myers lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Myers has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Myers there as he acknowledges the shot.
Myers connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sorrenson momentarily.
Sorrenson sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
An inside leg kick lands from Myers.
Myers scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Sorrenson wants to clinch but Myers slips to the side
and Myers counters with a stiff right hand.
Sorrenson wants to clinch.
Sorrenson just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromMyers.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Myers - that will leave a mark!
Sorrenson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Myers paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Myers scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Sorrenson shoots in looking for a takedown. Myers tries to sprawl out of it but Sorrenson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Myers manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sorrenson looks winded!
Sorrenson takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Sorrenson seems to have recovered his senses.
A nice right hand lands inside from Myers.

Myers lands with a light punch inside.
Myers mutters something to Sorrenson before pushing him back against the cage. As Sorrenson comes back towards him, Myers unloads a hook from the very depths of hell that knocks Sorrenson clean out! Oh. My. God. That is some seriously brutal stuff right there! What a knockout!
