Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kenny Powers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ramachandra Funske!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powers misses with a double jab.
Powers feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Funskes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Funske ducks under a wild hook from Powers.

Funske gets a double leg takedown into Powers's guard.
Funske throws a big right hand that misses.
Funske lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Funske with a nice head shot there.
Powers being controlled here, momentarily.
Funske postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Funske keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Powers's head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Funske is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Powers seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Powers throws the left hand but Funske avoids the punch easily.

Funske looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.

Funske shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Funske showed some decent athleticism there.
Funske slips a nice elbow through Powers's hands, connecting with Powers's forehead.

My spies in Cozad Amsterdam inform me that Funske has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Funske is nestled in close to Powers, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Funske takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
