Tango comes to the cage accompanied by Super Bon Bon - Soul Coughing. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wango Tango!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 48 - 27 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bubba Rugowski!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Felipe Paraventi and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tango has managed to clinch.
Our sources have told us that Tango has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Tango tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Tango with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Tango scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Rugowski is trying to force a seperation but Tango has the dominant position.
Tango putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Rugowski in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Tango lands a body shot in the clinch.
Rugowski looks winded!
Rugowski can't find room to land a body shot as Tango controls the action.
Tango is pushing Rugowski up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Rugowski working aggressively here.
Rugowski fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Rugowski.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rugowski is trying to break the clinch but Tango is controlling him.
Rugowski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Tango tries a body shot but Rugowski blocks it.
Tango presses Rugowski against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Tango lands an uppercut.
Rugowski swings wildly with an uppercut but Tango uses good head movement to avoid it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rugowski misses with a hook from the clinch.

Rugowski breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tango takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Rugowski has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Tango is looking to clinch.
Tango tries to close the distance and clinch but Rugowski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Tango misses with a jab, cross combination.
Tango tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Rugowski counters with a straight right hand.
Tango lands a big head kick that sends Rugowski to the canvas! Tango follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wango Tango!
