Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Clarence Blanchard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luv Luvsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Clarence Blanchard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Luv Luvsky!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Illya Tyunina and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blanchard gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Luvsky has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Blanchard uses from the top position.

Blanchard gets to his feet. Luvsky looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

That was a close round but I would say that Clarence Blanchard will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Luvsky throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Blanchard counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Luvsky!

Blanchard wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Luvsky, who protects the arm well.

Blanchard is trying to get an arm triangle but Luvsky is defending well.
Blanchard lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Luvsky down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Blanchard tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Blanchard has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Blanchard will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Luvsky is breathing heavily.
Luvsky parries the strikes from Blanchard easily there. Blanchard is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Luvsky to escape.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Blanchard decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Luvsky wants to clinch up but Blanchard keeps it at a distance.
Blanchard went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Blanchard jumps guard and drags Luvsky to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Luvsky is pressed up against the cage. Blanchard has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Luvsky down to the mat. Luvsky avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Luv Luvsky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Luvsky shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Blanchard sprawls well. Blanchard wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Luvsky gets slowly back to his feet.

Luvsky has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Blanchard is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Luvsky tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Blanchard avoids it.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Luvsky is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Blanchard to keep the fight standing.

Blanchard looks up at the clock and then as Luvsky takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Blanchard smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Luvsky is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Blanchard off and has taken his back!

You can see the frustration on Blanchard's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Blanchard, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
