Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Johnie Cash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will MacDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Will MacDonald told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, David Hoff and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Cash misses.
MacDonald with the counter takedown but Cash avoids it easily.
Cash gets in close and instigates a clinch.
MacDonald looking to stall.
Cash scores with a shoulder strike.
Cash gets through MacDonald's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Cash keeps the fight in the clinch, despite MacDonald's efforts to push away.
Cash working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
MacDonald's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Will MacDonald seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cash gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows MacDonald to score an easy takedown into full guard.
MacDonald won't allow Cash to get back to his feet.
MacDonald postures up and lands a big shot to Cash's brow.
Cash wants to get back to his feet but MacDonald is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

MacDonald connects with a couple of short punches.
Cash has momentary wrist control but MacDonald slips an elbow through the middle.
Cash is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
MacDonald content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
MacDonald slips nicely into half guard.
Cash is looking to escape.

Cash on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cash tries to get out of the position.
Cash on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

My spies in Rabid Dog inform me that MacDonald has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. MacDonald lands a nice short elbow.

Cash is not content to let MacDonald control the position.
MacDonald is nestled in close to Cash, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
MacDonald passes to full mount!
Cash is trying to stand up.
MacDonald with shots to the head and body - Cash looks very uncomfortable down there.
MacDonald postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Cash looks a forlorn figure.
Cash is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cash wants to try and get back to his feet.
Oh Cash is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
MacDonald lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cash wants to try and get back to his feet.
A big strike lands for MacDonald! That's really hurt Cash and he's turned his back - MacDonald keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! MacDonald jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Will MacDonald!
