Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Luis Hunt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hasting Peters!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peters throws a body punch but Hunt moves out of range.
Peters swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Hunt.
Hunt waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Peters.
A little jabbing left from Peters on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Peters slips a jab from Hunt.
Hunt just misses with a punch to the body.
Peters moves into the clinch.
Peters has a couple of punches blocked by Hunt.
Hunt lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Peters swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Hunt taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Peters throws a head punch that misses.
Peters misses with a hook to the ribs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Peters swings wildly with an uppercut but Hunt uses good head movement to avoid it.
Peters misses with a hook from the clinch.
Hunt pushes Peters back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
A short left from Hunt.
Hunt lands a hook to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A head punch blocked on the inside by Hunt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Peters misses with a hook to the ribs.

Hunt lands an uppercut.
Hunt escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hunt jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Hunt misses with a hook. Peters ducked under it nicely.
Peters swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Nice defenses there by Peters.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Peters! But no joy.
Peters scores with the left hand. Hunt knows he should have avoided that one.
Donk. Hunt catches Peters right on the button with a cross.
Peters fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hunt on the side of the head.
Peters has closed the distance and engaged Hunt in a clinch.
Hunt lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Peters.
Hunt softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Peters is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hunt takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Peters is still on wobbly legs! Can Hunt finish him?
Hunt creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Peters with a big uppercut! Peters tries to clinch up but Hunt pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Peters to the mat! Peters covers up and Hunt unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Luis Hunt!
A very excited looking Luis Hunt made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
