These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremiah Jameson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carl Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson ducks under a wild hook from Jameson.
Jameson scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Jackson throws a head kick but Jameson moves out of range.
It looked like Jameson was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jackson is defended easily by Jameson.
A left lands for Jameson.
Jameson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Jackson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Jackson goes for a double leg but Jameson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jameson continues to drive forward.

Jackson closes the distance and clinches.

Jackson pulls guard successfully.
Jackson looking for a sweep. Not yet Jackson, not yet.
Jackson pulls Jameson in close to prevent any damage.

Jackson looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Jameson passes into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jameson is trying to control. Jackson wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Jackson is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Jameson is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Jackson controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jackson tries to kick Jameson off but Jameson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Jameson wants to control but Jackson is keeping him busy.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jameson but Jameson pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jameson is looking to counter punch.
Jeremiah Jameson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Carl Jackson.
Jackson walks into a straight right hand from Jameson.


It looks like Carl Jackson has been cut.
Jackson looks winded!

Jackson closes the distance and clinches.
Jameson misses with a body punch.
Jackson has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jameson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Jackson fails to pull guard.
Jackson misses with a punch to the body.
Jameson lands a hook that snaps the head of Jackson backwards.

Jackson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jameson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Jameson throws an overhand right that lands on Jackson's shoulder, as Jackson tries to avoid the shot.
Jameson throws a jab when Jackson was well out of range.
Jackson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jameson.
Jameson throws a shot to the body.
Jameson's corner calls for a 1-2. Jameson obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Jameson is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Jackson flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Jackson is out cold! Jameson holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jeremiah Jameson!
