The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith looks to land a combination but Valkyrie avoids it well.
Valkyrie throws a hook but Smith blocks it.
Valkyrie punishes Smith's body with a nice straight punch.
No joy there for Smith, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Smith throws a low kick but it's checked well by Valkyrie.
An inside leg kick from Smith misses.
Valkyrie misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Smith.
Smith moves out of range of the strikes.
As Valkyrie backs off Smith throws a huge counter combo but Valkyrie manages to avoid it all.
Smith throws a right hand that Valkyrie ducks under and follows up with a left that Valkyrie also avoids with ease.
Valkyrie throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Smith looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Valkyrie fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

It looks like Stan Smith has been cut.
Valkyrie connects with a single shot there.
Valkyrie showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Smith.

Stan Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Valkyrie lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Valkyrie throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Smith misses with a leg kick
and Valkyrie counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Valkyrie lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Smith falls backwards - clearly groggy! Valkyrie dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
