The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prokopos ducks under a wild hook from Madison.
Madison throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Prokopos's waist but Prokopos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Madison off to one side.

Prokopos dives in and scores a takedown into Madison's guard.

Prokopos drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Prokopos jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Madison wants to stand and escape but Prokopos is having none of it.
Prokopos tries to free his leg and advance position but Madison is retaining full guard.
Madison really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Prokopos. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Prokopos drops back, looking for a kneebar! Madison looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Madison looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Madison!

Madison is looking to take a break and control but Prokopos is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Prokopos manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Madison wants to stand up but Prokopos manages to regain full guard.
Madison wanted to stand there but Prokopos had control of the position.

Madison stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Prokopos has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Madison manages to get his head free but now Prokopos has transitioned to an armbar! Madison grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Prokopos! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
