Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron Gold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominick Verk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dominick Verk is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Verk shoots in looking for a takedown but Gold manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Verk's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Verk shoots in looking for a takedown. Gold tries to sprawl out of it but Verk keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gold manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gold throws a left and a right that both miss

and Verk counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Verk.
Verk is standing up over Gold. Gold looks to escape but Verk dives into side control.

A lull in the action here as Verk stalls from top position.
Gold looks frustrated here - throwing a couple of shots from the bottom though.

Verk thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Gold strikes from the bottom but Verk takes advantage and advances to full mount!
Gold swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gold knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Verk on the ground.
Gold is arching his back trying to strike from the bottom but Verk turns him over and now has his back.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Verk slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Verk working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Gold is doing well to defend. Verk seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Gold is forced to tap and this one is over!
