Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rufus Soderberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). West is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Roy Jones - Can't be touched. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soderberg throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
West misses with a double jab

and Soderberg counters with a nice double leg into side control. West won't be happy with that.

West throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
West rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Soderberg moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
West misses with a shot to the body
and Soderberg counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
West misses with a looping left.
West misses with a double jab
and Soderberg counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

It looks like Andrew West has been cut.

Soderberg waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract West. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped West to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

West is rocked!

West is still in real trouble! Can Soderberg finish him?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Soderberg's corner is telling him to maintain position.
West seems to have recovered his senses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
West not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
West can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Soderberg controls the pace.

West looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
West really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Soderberg. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
West trying to keep a closed guard but Soderberg is proving a slippery customer.
Soderberg postures up in West's guard and throws a big left but West blocks it.
Soderberg working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Soderberg throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as West works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
West tries to land a sweep but no joy.

West on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
West wants to get back to full guard but Soderberg has passed into side control.

Soderberg is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. West is trying to escape and Soderberg transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and West is forced to tap! Nice work there by Soderberg! Very nice indeed!
