The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arnott throws a head kick that misses

and Kalai counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kalai.

Arnott manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Arnott blocks a head kick by Kalai.

Kalai looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Arnott!

Arnott throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Arnott tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kalai manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kalai dodges the punch combination from Arnott.
Arnott thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Kalai if he has to take too many more of those.

Kalai drives through with a takedown into Arnott's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Arnott looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kalai is one step ahead there.

Kalai seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Kalai's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Arnott not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Kalai ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Arnott misses the shot to the body.
Arnott darts in trying to clinch

and Kalai counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Arnott!

Kalai is working to tighten his grip on Arnott's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Arnott has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Kalai is really squeezing tight and eventually Arnott passes out! Kalai breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
