PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pangare Sertao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohsin Mohamed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mohsin Mohamed!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Daniel Franklin and Michael Johnstone.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mohamed takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Mohamed shoots in but Sertao avoids the takedown attempt easily.
A quick step to the side and Sertao tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mohamed misses with a hook to the body
and Mohamed takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Sertao throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Mohamed stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Mohamed moves to clinch but Sertao breaks away
and Sertao counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Mohamed misses with a jab, cross combination.

Mohamed shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Sertao is looking for a sweep. Mohamed is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Sertao is controlling Mohamed's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Mohamed seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Sertao does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Sertao tries to roll over but Mohamed keeps him under control.
Mohamed passes the guard and advances to mount!
Mohamed can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Sertao is looking to escape.
Sertao on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sertao tries to get out of the position.
Sertao is desperately trying to improve his position but Mohamed has a good base and remains in mount.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mohamed takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Mohamed is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Sertao has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Sertao!

Mohamed escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sertao gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Sertao knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mohamed on the ground.
Mohamed is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Sertao looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mohamed is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Mohamed thows a huge punch but Sertao dodges it nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sertao is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Sertao keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sertao blocking the ground and pound attempt from Mohamed.
Sertao is staying active underneath Mohamed, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Mohamed is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Mohamed prevents Sertao from improving his position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
It looks like Mohamed is going to stand back up.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Pangare Sertao will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Mohamed tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sertao paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mohamed moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

It looks like Pangare Sertao has been cut.
Mohamed gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Sertao counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sertao takes a swing at Mohamed's ribcage but misses.
Sertao throws out a powerful jab.
Mohsin Mohamed is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mohamed moves in looking to clinch but Sertao pushes him off.
Mohamed looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Mohamed tries to land a front kick but Sertao steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Sertao throws out a loose jab but Mohamed uses good head movement to avoid it.
Mohamed changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Mohamed shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sertao defends it nicely.
Mohsin Mohamed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sertao scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Sertao lands a two punch combo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Sertao throws a shot from downtown. Mohamed moves away and avoids it.
Mohamed takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Sertao swings for the body but Mohamed moves out of range.
Sertao scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
A looping hook to the body misses from Sertao. Mohamed does a little dance to reset his feet.

Sertao lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Mohamed falls backwards - clearly groggy! Sertao dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
