PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Trey Montauk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sera Mesmo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sera Mesmo told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sera Mesmo!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Alexandre Firmino and Mauricio Rocha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Montauk rushes Mesmo and presses him up against the cage.

Montauk has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Mesmo is trying to keep an underhook but Montauk manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Montauk throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Mesmo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Montauk . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mesmo wants to improve his position but Montauk is controlling well.

Mesmo wants to control the action here but instead Montauk manages to pass to full mount!

Montauk is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Mesmo is in real trouble.
Montauk is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Montauk gets his hands free as Mesmo looks to control.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Montauk controlling the positon.
Montauk 's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

You can see the frustration on Mesmo's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Montauk gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Mesmo counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Mesmo batters Montauk with a massive right followed by a huge left! Montauk is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Mesmo lands a final crushing right hand to drop Montauk to the mat with a gruesome thud! Mesmo is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!
