The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Rondo as Guy shoots in.
Rondo appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
A looping hook to the body misses from Guy. Rondo does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rondo drops down looking for a counter takedown but Guy sprawls and moves away.
Guy shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rondo defends it nicely.
Rondo attempts a counter takedown but Guy avoids it well and moves away.
Rondo will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Guy closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

After the fight, Fight Guy was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
