Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Noah Sauvageau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Noah Sauvageau will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Noah Sauvageau!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Chris Edwards and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Silva thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Silva tries for a kimura but Sauvageau is defending well.
Sauvageau is trying to improve his position.

Silva is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Sauvageau is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sauvageau tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Silva wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Silva is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sauvageau knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Silva tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Silva has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Sauvageau gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
We've been hearing that Silva has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Silva works his foot free and advances to mount.

Silva jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Sauvageau is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Sauvageau and Silva has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Sauvageau really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Silva shoots in for a takedown but Sauvageau shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Silva shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sauvageau defends it nicely.

Silva shoots in and bounces Sauvageau off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Silva drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Silva jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Silva drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sauvageau manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Silva has Sauvageau in his guard.

Silva closes the distance and clinches up with Sauvageau, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes Sauvageau against the cage but Sauvageau circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Sauvageau fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Silva manages to avoid it.
Sauvageau misses the shot to the body.
Silva is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sauvageau sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Silva shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sauvageau's guard.

Silva drops back looking for a leg! Sauvageau is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sauvageau manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Sauvageau's guard.
Sauvageau is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Silva regains full guard. Nicely done.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sauvageau has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Silva to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Sauvageau is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Silva pulls down on the head and he's put Sauvageau to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Roberto Silva!
