Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jim Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Pereira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Igor Pereira acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jim Hogan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Igor Pereira!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Paul Tew and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pereira shoots in and gets a takedown into Hogan's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hogan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Pereira gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Hogan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Pereira is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pereira stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hogan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hogan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

That was a close round but I would say that Jim Hogan will probably get the nod.

Pereira drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hogan keeping moving, preventing Pereira from controlling successfully.

Pereira tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hogan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hogan changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Hogan gets caught napping as Pereira dives in and scores a takedown. Hogan manages to retain guard.

Pereira wants to control from the top but Hogan keeps moving.

Hogan manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Pereira manages to get himself to full guard.

Hogan decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Hogan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pereira circles away.
Pereira wants to counter with a clinch but Hogan pushes him away.
Pereira fails to land with a series of punches.
Hogan went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Pereira clinches up with Hogan and pushes him back against the cage.
Hogan has Pereira pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Pereira manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Pereira jumps guard and drags Hogan to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Igor Pereira showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Pereira shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Hogan is trying to defend but Pereira finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Pereira got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hogan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pereira has managed to get both his arms back between Hogan's legs - danger averted.

Pereira might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hogan haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Pereira manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Hogan on his heels. He'll look to pass Hogan's guard now, I'm sure.

Hogan is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hogan lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Hogan wants to get up but he can't break Pereira's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Hogan controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Pereira wants to stand but Hogan is controlling the position.

Hogan stands up and waves to Pereira to follow him.

and Hogan counters with a series of strikes. Pereira will be more careful next time no doubt.

Pereira gets a double leg takedown into Hogan's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hogan is on top in guard.

Pereira looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hogan is one step ahead there.
Hogan stands up over Pereira, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hogan is looking to stand up but Pereira won't let him.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jim Hogan.
I think Hogan has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
