The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takano connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Cuervo momentarily.
Cuervo connects with a crisp jab.
A slapping body kick lands there for Cuervo.

Takano throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Cuervo counters with a nice leg kick.
Takano keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Cuervo.
Takano thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Cuervo if he has to take too many more of those.
Cuervo moves out of range as Takano strikes.
Cuervo misses with a low kick.
Cuervo is looking to slow Takano down with leg kicks.

Takano throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Cuervo looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Cuervo tries to move into range but Takano moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Cuervo stuns Takano with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Takano rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cuervo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Takano pushes Cuervo back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Cuervo seems to have recovered his senses.

Takano unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Cuervo! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Takano is unloading with more strikes now! Cuervo drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!

Yuki Takano decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
