Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Quentin Bullock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takaya Ryuu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takaya Ryuu!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bullock steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Ryuu. That one must have hurt.

Ryuu darts in and clinches Bullock up against the cage.
Bullock stalling.
Bullock goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Ryuu gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Ryuu is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bullock has managed to free his arm - good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ryuu is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Bullock defends it well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Still in half guard, Ryuu seems content to control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ryuu throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Ryuu throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Bullock tries to get to full guard but Ryuu has control of the leg.
Ryuu not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Ryuu wants to control but Bullock is keeping him busy.

Ryuu has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Ryuu is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bullock is trying to maintain the position but Ryuu is very close to passing his half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ryuu in particular looking to stall.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ryuu clinches.
Bullock using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Ryuu has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Ryuu swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Bullock is now in Ryuu's guard. A big mistake from Ryuu there, giving up the dominant position!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Ryuu uses the cage to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Bullock clinches up with Ryuu and pushes him back against the cage.

Ryuu breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Ryuu turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Ryuu tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ryuu has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Bullock blocking the ground and pound.
Ryuu tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bullock is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Ryuu has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Ryuu gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Ryuu drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bullock dives on top into guard.

Ryuu is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bullock is aware though and is defending well.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Ryuu pulls Bullock in to control the position.
Bullock has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Bullock will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ryuu scores with a jab to the jaw.

Ryuu drives through with a takedown into Bullock's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Takaya Ryuu showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Bullock enables Ryuu to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Bullock manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Ryuu misses with a head shot. Bullock uses the momentum to regain guard.

Ryuu postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bullock is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ryuu, into his guard.

Ryuu is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Ryuu holds on and takes a little breather.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bullock throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Ryuu wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ryuu is on top in guard.

Well Ryuu has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
