Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gayle Foster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Martins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). John Martins has the eye of the tiger tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Foster.
Martins dodges the ground and pound from Foster.
Foster is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Martins will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Foster stands up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Foster takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Foster drops his hands momentarily and Martins takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Foster bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Martins is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Foster's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Martins wants to control but Foster is keeping busy.
Foster is taking a breather. Martins says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Foster scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Foster not doing much here.
Martins trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

Foster is standing up, even though he is in mount.

Martins gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Foster to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Foster gets to his feet. Martins looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Martins moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Foster tries a head kick but it misses.

Foster scores with a takedown into Martins's guard.
Martins is looking to stand back up but Foster counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Martins.

Foster knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Martins on the ground.

Foster is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Foster stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Martins to get to his feet.

Foster shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Martins napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Foster in side control, just content to control the action for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Foster looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Martins is fending him off so far but Foster persists. Nope, Martins circles away and we're back to standing.

Foster forces Martins back against the cage and clinches.

Foster jumps guard.
Foster really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Martins postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Foster is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Martins, into his guard.

Foster content to stall in guard here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Martins is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Foster lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Foster is stalling in the full guard.
Foster has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Martins wants to sweep here but Foster controlling him for the moment.
Foster slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Martins has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Foster should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Martins has tightened it up now! Foster should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
