And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Leandro Rodrigues and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Surprise misses.
Surprise misses with a wild combination.
Young goes for a double leg but Surprise avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Surprise continues to drive forward.
Surprise moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Surprise just misses with a punch to the body.
We've been hearing reports that Surprise has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Young fails with the takedown.
Surprise really is a fat lump.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Surprise is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Young sees it coming and defends easily.

Surprise is working for a kimura here but Young manages to reverse the position and he's now in Surprise's guard.

Surprise drops back looking for a leg! Young is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Young manages to kick Surprise off! Surprise jumps back into Young's guard.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Young jumps guard but Surprise stands there with Young around his waist. Young gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Surprise lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Surprise digs a right hand into Young's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Young's gas tank.

Young avoids a punch combination nicely.
Surprise throws a shot to the body.
Surprise is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Young can do to turn this around?

A left and a right from Surprise both land. Nice combination.
Surprise is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Surprise clinches with his opponent.
Young is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Surprise to keep the fight standing.
Nice body punch from Surprise - that landed with a thud.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Surprise.
The referee calls for Surprise to work.
Surprise utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Surprise lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Young or not.

A left hand lands to the body for Surprise.
Young takes a knee to the side of the body.

Surprise breaks from the clinch.
Surprise misses with a few strikes there.
Surprise lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Surprise lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
WhatA Surprise is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Surprise scores with a jab.
Young is trying hard to land a takedown here. Surprise sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Surprise rushes Young and presses him up against the cage.

Surprise breaks the clinch.
Young dodges the punch combination from Surprise.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Young tries for a takedown but Surprise circles away easily
and Surprise cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Young's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Surprise connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Young scrambles back to his feet.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Young takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Surprise throws a series of punches but Young moves out of range.
Young changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Young shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Surprise counters with a stiff right hand.
Surprise lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Young shoots in for a takedown but Surprise shows good takedown defense.

Surprise throws a combination. Young tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Young takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

and Surprise counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Young gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Young tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Surprise is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Young buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Young!! Young is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Surprise throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). WhatA Surprise!
